What is integrative medicine?
Integrative medicine is a perspective on how to approach health concerns by valuing the patient/practitioner relationship, is evidence based and views the patient as a whole person to include the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects of each individual. The goal is to identify within each person their innate healing capacity and create treatment plans that empower and support you on your journey of healing.
Why integrative medicine?
Dr. Mindy Thomas began her career to medicine to help connect people who were suffering find solutions to heal their underlying aliments. She has learned a lot from her work in ERs, ICUs and more recently in family practice but ultimately found Western medicine alone to be inadequate to meet the needs of people with chronic disease. This was the reason she became a 200 hr yoga instructor and certified breath coach in search of other healing modalities to provide relief of suffering that isn’t limiting due to excessive expenses or technology. To further her desire to find true healing for each client she has started a two-year fellowship at the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine!
